Kristen Petry, JD

Mrs. Petry is an Associate Attorney at the firm. She was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Government from the University of Texas – Austin in 2010 and a law degree from South Texas College of Law Houston in 2014. In law school, Mrs. Petry participated as a member of the competitive mediation team and served as a Langdell Scholar for criminal law, evidence and torts classes. She was also a Dean’s Merit Scholar and recipient of the CALI Award of Excellence in Wills, Trusts and Estates. Prior to attending law school, Mrs. Petry worked as a Journal Production Assistant for the Texas State House of Representatives House Journal.

Mrs. Petry developed an interest in health law as a first-year law clerk at a health law and insurance defense firm in the Houston area. Her practice focuses on medical malpractice defense and health law. She also assists healthcare clients to comply with federal regulations protecting private health information.

Mrs. Petry is a member of the Greater Houston Society for Healthcare Risk Management and is currently the Chair of the Fundraising Committee. She is also a member of the Houston Bar Association. Outside of work Mrs. Petry enjoys running and cooking. She also enjoys spending time with her family in Galveston and relaxing with her two dogs.
