Colin P. Goodman, JD

Mr. Goodman grew up in Louisiana before attending the University of Notre Dame, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2011. He then attended Loyola University Chicago School of Law, earning his law degree and health law certificate in 2015.

After his first year of law school, Mr. Goodman worked as a summer legal intern for a hospital system in northern Indiana and Illinois. There, he developed an interest in health law. During his remaining time at Loyola, his classes focused on contractual and regulatory issues in the health care field including hospital governance, mergers and acquisitions, and compliance with Stark and anti-kickback laws, HIPAA, and HITECH. He was a member of Loyola’s health law journal, Annals of Health Law, and wrote and published an article in the student-authored edition of the journal. He also participated on Loyola’s International Law Review, serving as the Featured Articles Editor in his third year.

Mr. Goodman actively defends medical malpractice lawsuits on behalf of the firm’s healthcare clients across Texas. He also advises physicians and other healthcare providers on contract negotiations and compliance issues. In addition to his medical malpractice work, Mr. Goodman defends several large manufacturing clients in general liability claims. When not working or catching up on all things Notre Dame, Mr. Goodman enjoys running, reading, and traveling.
